EPOCH FINAL EVENT

25-26 February 2008

PALAZZO ROSPIGLIOSI, ROME 

The funded period of the EPOCH Network of Excellence will conclude in mid March 2008 and in order to mark this landmark, a final event will be held in Rome on 25 and 26 February 2008.

This event will take place at Palazzo Rospigliosi and will bring together many EPOCH partners who have been collaborating over the past four years.

The programme will include a variety of papers; these will describe the research behind the technical achievements of EPOCH partners and others undertaking research in related areas and the papers will present a wide and representative sample of the outcomes of EPOCH work and collaboration. Papers will also cover EPOCH’s work in establishing processes to spread excellence in the integration of technologies into the work of Cultural Heritage institutions.  
 
In parallel, there will be an exhibition of some of the technologies developed as part of EPOCH. Many of these are interactive and participants will have the opportunity to see demonstrations of new developments and try the technologies on display.

Other delegates are expected to include representatives from the European Commission, the Italian Ministry of Culture and from other European projects
